Dragon Friendship

To gain the friendship of a Dragon is a blessing indeed

For there are only a few who can hear them sing.

One should listen with the heart

To hear what they truly want to say,

One should look far beyond what they see,

And open their minds to different realities,

Dragons are fierce protectors 

Who will be there even before you ask,

Dragons are teachers who impart knowledge

By letting you learn through life's experiences,

When you gain the friendship of a Dragon

You will never be alone in your journey, 

For you'll always have a friend 

To travel the same road with you!

Dragon Magick

Sad to say, after days of arduous  research I could only find 2 books that were really helpful,  DJ Conway's Dancing With Dragons and Mystical Dragon Magick: Teachings of the Five Inner Rings and I also found a manuscript from an unknown author. So, all in all I have only 3 references. It seems that the followers of the Draconic Wiccan path is so scarce. While I was reading DJ Conway's book, I couldn't understand it. I was reading it using my rational mind. I found out that the only way to approach this kind of teaching is to have an open mind and look at things with the eyes of a child. I finally understood it after the second reading. I also realized that this is the path that I wanted to pursue. I think your next question would be, have you seen dragons? I haven't. I think their vibration is so high that I still couldn't level with it but I already heard them. Below is the summary of my report. Hope it could be some help to all the Dragon Lover's out there.

What Are Dragons?

Dragon = Greek word DRAKON and Latin word Draco

Drakon comes from a verb meaning to see, to look at or possibly to flash.

The word dragon is used in many different fields like astronomy = constellation draco; astrology =the nodes of the moon;

Are Dragons Real?

- Dragons are far more than imaginary creatures in fairy tales

- Dragons are as real as we are but they live on the ASTRAL PLANE w/c co-exists w/ and intersects our physical plane

- Dragons chose to live in the OTHERWORLD a plane of existence with different vibrations

- The otherworld’s vibration allows these entities to exist in a safe place                     

Why do we call on DRAGONS?

Reasons…

- Dragon’s have control of deeper currents of elemental energies than are usually felt by humans and once befriended dragons make excellent PROTECTORS and POWERFUL CO-MAGICIANS.

- Dragon’s have been here for a long time and have access to vast information…unending knowledge and wisdom

- Access to a vast storehouse of Dragon Magick and power.

- They have access by means of their extremely long lives and unique thought processes to forgotten information and knowledge, especially in the field of magic

- Dragon power also helps the magician to make personal, inner changes that may be necessary

- Dragons can create opportunities; provide encouragement and guidance and even back the magician in a figurative corner so that he/she must face problems and make decisions

- Dragons will never do for you what you can do for yourself

Characteristic Personality of DRAGONS

- Dragons tend to speak in riddles and symbols

- They avoid straight answers whenever possible

- The only weapon a dragon respects is the SWORD but only if wielded by a confident magician who is prepared to stand his ground

- Dragons like strong humans w/ a healthy balanced opinion of themselves

ATTITUDE

- NO doubts about the individuals right to practice Dragon Magick

- Desire to seek  balance and improvement

- Strive to improve SELF= balance the ebbs and tides of energies within

- Learn as much about Dragons and their magickal habits

- Be clear for your reasons in wanting to practice Dragon Magick with an objective and critical eye

- Build an atmosphere that will attract dragons

- Beam a mental welcome and set aside time to communicate = MEDITATION

- BELIEVE THEY EXIST

- How do you know if you have a Dragon friend?

- They may choose to make their appearance in dreams or as flashes of movement seen in your peripheral vision

- They may simply choose to touch your psychic feelings

- Tiny faces or voices in your head

- Appears as little voices, faces or forms in the mind

- Dragons may show up unannounced at any time but especially during meditation and magickal rituals

- They love the power flow of rituals and will make an appearance just to bathe in the energy

- Masters of concealment

- They delight in sharing the vibrations of tarot and rune readings other psychic practices
